INFINITY vs Hotel Collection: Coverage, Price, and the Subscription Question
Hotel Collection built its name on hotel-inspired fragrance, and the brand has the review counts to back it up — several of their diffusers carry hundreds of five-star reviews. If you're weighing them against our INFINITY, both use the same underlying technology: cold-air diffusion, no heat, no water, connected to your ductwork.
The difference is coverage per dollar, and it's substantial. Here it is in numbers.
Coverage against price
| Unit | Rated coverage | Listed price |
|---|---|---|
| Hotel Collection Studio | 600 sq ft | $79.95 (from $199.95) |
| Hotel Collection Tower Pro | 800 sq ft | $179.98 (from $359.95) |
| Hotel Collection Villa (HVAC or standalone) | 1,800 sq ft | $839.97 (from $1,399.95) |
| Hotel Collection Presidential (HVAC) | 3,000 sq ft | $1,079.97 (from $1,799.95) |
| Hotel Collection Double Presidential | 6,000 sq ft | $1,199.97 (from $1,999.95) |
| Mila Marie INFINITY | 16,000 sq ft | $399 — $449 with three oils |
Their largest residential unit covers 6,000 sq ft for $1,199.97. INFINITY is rated for 16,000 sq ft at $399, or $449 with three 200ml oils included.

An honest caveat about coverage numbers
Every figure in that table, ours included, is manufacturer-stated. There's no shared testing standard for scent coverage, and real-world performance depends on ceiling height, floor plan, how often your blower runs, and the intensity you set.
Treat coverage ratings as a signal of what a unit was built for — a room versus a house — rather than a guarantee. If your ceilings are tall or your plan is broken up by doors, size up.
The subscription question
Hotel Collection offers their large diffusers free with an oil delivery subscription. That's a genuinely appealing structure if you'd rather not pay for hardware upfront, and for some buyers it's the right call.
It's worth doing the arithmetic before committing, though. Free hardware means an ongoing oil commitment, and their monthly plans carry minimum terms — their Mini Pro promotion, for instance, runs on a three-month commitment with a $50 early-cancellation fee. Add up what you'll spend across the full term and compare that to buying a unit outright and purchasing oil when you want it.
We only sell hardware outright. You own the machine, and you buy oil when you need it — $33 for 120ml, $45 for 200ml, or $69 for 500ml.
Where Hotel Collection is the better choice
You want a small-space unit. Their Studio covers 600 sq ft at $79.95. Our smallest is the ECHO Mini at $89 for up to 700 sq ft — close, but they have more options at the compact end.
You want specific hotel-inspired scents. They've built their catalogue around recreating particular properties, with a deep range and a very large review base behind individual fragrances. If a specific hotel's scent is what you're chasing, start there.
You'd rather subscribe than buy. If spreading the cost matters more than owning the unit, their model does that and ours doesn't.
Where we think INFINITY wins
Coverage per dollar. Their 6,000 sq ft flagship is three times the price of a unit rated for 16,000.
Oil in the box. A diffuser without oil produces nothing. At $449, INFINITY ships with three 200ml oils — $135 of fragrance for $50 more.
Bluetooth scheduling. Set intensity and run windows from your phone rather than a panel timer on the unit.
If INFINITY is more than your home needs
Sixteen thousand square feet is commercial-grade coverage. Under 1,800 sq ft with ducted air, the PULSE does the same HVAC job for $149. Shop PULSE
Renting, or no ductwork? The HALO Tower covers up to 4,000 sq ft from one outlet — $229, or $299 with three oils. Shop HALO Tower

Frequently Asked Questions
Do Hotel Collection and INFINITY use the same technology?
Both use waterless cold-air diffusion, which turns fragrance oil into a dry nano-mist without heat or water. The technology is the same; the coverage and pricing differ.
Which Hotel Collection units connect to HVAC?
Their Villa, Presidential, and Double Presidential models offer HVAC connection. Their smaller units are standalone.
How much area does INFINITY cover?
Up to 16,000 sq ft, and it handles HVAC systems up to 10 tons.
Is a subscription cheaper than buying outright?
It depends on how long you keep it and how much oil you use. Free hardware with a delivery commitment can cost more across a full term than buying a unit and purchasing oil as needed. Add up the total before deciding.
What if my home doesn't have ducts?
Mini-splits, window units, and radiant heat have nothing to carry scent. A floor unit like the HALO Tower is the right choice.
Can I install an HVAC diffuser myself?
Most people do. It takes about 30 minutes with basic tools — mounting the unit near the air handler and running a hose to the supply duct.
Every diffuser comes with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
Competitor pricing and coverage figures are taken from publicly listed information in August 2026 and may have changed since. We'd encourage you to check both sites before deciding.
