Elite Mini Pro vs AromaTech AroMini BT Plus
AromaTech's AroMini BT Plus is $295 and covers up to 1,500 sq ft. Our Elite Mini Pro is $99 and covers up to 1,800 sq ft.
Both are nebulizing cold-air diffusers — no water, no heat, undiluted oil. The gap is $196, and it's worth understanding what sits behind it.

The oil question
This is the difference most people don't notice until after they've bought.
AromaTech's own product listing states that their oils are optimised for their nebulizing technology, and that using other brands' oils may clog the diffuser and will void your warranty. That isn't a proprietary cartridge, but the practical effect is similar — your refill supplier is settled for as long as you own the hardware.
Ours takes any fragrance oil formulated for cold-air nebulizing. Ours, theirs, anyone's. Nothing about the warranty depends on where you buy oil.
Worth weighing alongside their refill cadence: they suggest 60ml roughly every two months. Ours are $33 for 120ml, $45 for 200ml, and $69 for 500ml, bought whenever you want.
Cordless versus plug-in
The AroMini BT Plus is a plug-in unit, so placement follows the outlets. That's fine in a living room and awkward in the places that actually distribute scent best — hallway junctions, stair landings, entry consoles.
The Elite Mini Pro runs on a built-in rechargeable battery over USB-C, which means the unit goes where the air moves rather than where the socket is. It also moves through the day: living room by afternoon, bedroom in the evening.
Where AromaTech is genuinely stronger
Three things, and they're real.
Review depth. Their previous AroMini BT model carries nearly a thousand public reviews. Ours is a much smaller base. When spending a few hundred dollars, that's a legitimate thing to weigh, and we'd rather point at it than hope you don't notice.
A deeper fragrance library. They've built a large catalogue over years, including hotel-inspired scents people seek out by name. Ours is deliberately small.
Screw-in bottles. Their 60ml bottles screw directly into the unit, so there's no decanting. If handling oil is something you'd rather avoid, that's a genuine convenience.
Where we think we win
Price. $99 against $295, for more rated coverage.
No oil lock-in. Buy fragrance from whoever you like without affecting your warranty.
Cordless placement. Put it where the scent should be.
Coverage headroom. 1,800 sq ft against 1,500, which in practice means running at a lower setting for the same result — quieter, and less oil used.
Which should you buy?
You want the biggest fragrance catalogue and a long review history: theirs.
You want the most coverage per dollar, or you can't tie the unit to an outlet: ours.
You want one small room only: our ECHO Mini at $89 covers up to 700 sq ft, against their Ambience Mini at $125 for 600.
You want scent in rooms behind closed doors: neither. No standalone unit reaches them. The PULSE connects to ducted air at $149.
The caveat on both coverage figures
Theirs and ours are manufacturer-stated, and there's no shared testing standard in this industry. Ceiling height and closed doors move the real number more than the rating does. Compare them as a signal of what each unit was built for.
Try the scent first
Our range is smaller than theirs by design, so the names won't be familiar. The Scent Card Sample Pack is 15 of ours for $15 — about a fifth of the price difference between these two units.
